YIMI is a South African fashion brand that believes in the beauty of Africa stories narrating them through fabric, color and contextualized in Xhosa culture. Our creative is inspired by the shapes, sounds, people and silhouettes of village life rondavels, maize fields, beadwork, and grandmothers. Each piece is a canvas of culture painted, sewn, and suitable to be worn outside traditional events.

YIMI is a Nguni word meaning “this is me”. In our logo, the word is written in signature form a visual metaphor for personal ownership, expression and pride.
